HAND/OCCUPATIONAL
THERAPY
The hand is an amazing part of the human body. Our hands enable
us to perform a variety of functions we often take for granted.
However, hands do not always function properly after injury, disease,
job related stress or acquired syndromes. VibrantCare's Hand
Therapy team specializes in the treatment of these complex hand
disorders.
VibrantCare's Hand Therapy Program includes:

AQUATIC THERAPY
Aquatic therapy utilizes water's natural buoyancy to maximize function
and control the compressive and resistive forces on muscles and
joints. Therapists begin each program by providing patients with
a land-based evaluation prior to entry into the therapeutic pool.
Programs are individually created to fit the patient's level and needs
to strengthen and increase range of motion. Therapists also use
aquatic therapy for patient’s in extreme pain or immobility.
TEMPOROMANDIBULAR
JOINT DYSFUNCTION (TMJ)
The flexible joint that connects the lower jaw to the skull is called
the Temporomandibular Joint or TMJ. It controls the movement of
the mouth and effects how a person swallows, talks and chews.
When pain or dysfunction occurs to this joint, patients daily lives are
adversely affected. TMJ therapists utilize a variety of
exercises, manual techniques and modalities directly on the affected
area as well as the head, neck and shoulders.
